Gerald David Butchers

The master butchers, Gerald David & Family, have been serving quality meat to the customers at Fermoy’s for over 14 years. During this time this family butchers has gained a considerable reputation for quality, producing the finest meat around which is hand picked by both brothers at each farm for its full round flavour and nice creamy fat.

They have their own Freedom Foods Approved abattoir in Porlock, Somerset, which allows them to have full control of traceability – from pasture to plate. The animals are treated with real care and respect; they are fed naturally and given a good quality of life. The David Family transport all their animals themselves so that they do not suffer stress when they are being transported.

The dedicated team of butchers at Fermoy's will serve you with a smile, and no doubt have a chat as well (there’s 6 of them so you may be there for ages!). The quality of service is just as important as the quality of meat (it’s the best), and they can offer you great advice on cooking times and recipes. They’re a gifted lot! The range of meats on offer is always extensive – in summer they boast of the best BBQ selection in the area!
